The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) and the Secretariat in Latin America and the Caribbean (SIHI-LAC), supported by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Centro Internacional de Entrenamiento e Investigaciones Médicas (CIDEIM) and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), have launched a new call for socially innovative health projects and solutions that have improved public health and the delivery of equitable health services, during Covid-19 pandemic.
Different country experiences have shed light on effective solutions, critical bottlenecks, and practical lessons to strengthen public health functions and impact health access and outcomes. In an even more challenging context, the COVID-19 pandemic offers a stark reminder and a call for collective action to strengthen public health actions and protect the most vulnerable.
